As a professional, we have the ability to discern that the information/knowledge is authentic and credible. We are able to decide that information/knowledge has relevance and not resonance. Knowledge and information are essential asset for a professional or human being and it provides a great help, guidance and direction to the professional as well as the human beings in the society and professional world both. Information and knowledge brings lot of positive impacts and effective and efficient results for the professional/human beings in their course of actions/projects.
Production and Operation Management Environment - The environment in which the production / operations of the organization are carried out is known as the production management environment. The production manager or operation manager needs to ensure that the production operations are running smoothly and the team of employee is contributing effectively for the organization and achieving their business targets.
Attributes/qualities/skills an operations manager has to have in this role (operations manager) to be effective and successful in the organization are as below.
Team management and handling skills – The operation manager need to be strong enough and skilled in people management and people handling so that he can drive the production operations effectively and efficiently.
Team motivation and leadership skills – The operation manager need to be skilled in motivational and leadership approaches so that he can lead and motivate the team of employees for achieving the production targets adequately.
Conflict resolution skills – The operation manager need to be expert in conflict management and resolution approaches so that he can manage the conflicts of the operations among the team members.
Operations Experts: the operation manager need to be expert of the production environment and should be able to plan and execute the operation properly. He should be able to create the environment which is free from issues from peole, machine, materials, processes, etc.
Time management skills: Time management skill is key for the success of the operation manager, as he need to manage the time effectively and use the iven resources suitably so that he can achieve the business targets for the given production setup.
