Explanation / Answer
Hello
Congratulations for making the first attempt towards your assignment! It is a great progress because I can understand from your writing about the positive aspects of the professor's presentation. I can surely help you reformulate your three paragraphs.
In the first paragraph, you are mostly appreciating the subject matter expertise of the professor around the topic of the presentation. This is certainly the way to go! The first sentence of this paragraph can be 'I am impressed by the subject matter expertise you offered around [topic name].' This sentence can be followed by other impressive remarks about the subject matter expertise the professor offered in his presentation. You can quote some research work that the professor presented. You can (and should) go a bit specific about the subject matter presented and its practical application/implication in the real world (by using the phrase 'this reminds me of...'). In this paragraph, you can also mention the topics on which you would have wanted to see deeper insights. Most importantly, keep this paragraph focused on the subject matter expertise of professor in the presentation. (You may replace 'speech' with 'presentation')
In next paragraphs, you have mostly tried to appreciate the presentation style of the professor, his ability to convey the subject in an engaging way and his ability to connect with the audience. You can keep it all together in one paragraph (the second paragraph). Again, the first sentence of this paragraph should denote that you are going to talk about these feature in this paragraph. For example the first sentence of the second paragraph can be 'I also appreciate the way the presentation was delivered'. Continued by, 'the presentation involved many picture and diagrams that helped....' 'the inclusion of poetry made it further interesting...' 'Moreover, you narration style in a storytelling fashion was ....' 'The questions asked during presentation helped us to remain interested in engaged with the presentation' etc. Keep it all together in the second paragraph. Also note that it is better not to use the word 'you' and try to keep the sentence in passive form or in third person form, as much as possible.
In the third paragraph, you can offer criticism on the presentation. In other words, you can write what you didn't like or make suggestions to improve the presentation for future. Note that your criticism or suggestions denotes your understanding and ability to analyze the subject from a different perspective, therefore, it is important to offer a few suggestions/criticisms. It is taken positively. You can also write about the key takeaways for yourself from this presentation. This paragraph can be more of your subjective evaluation of the outcome of the presentation for you as a student. Be bold and share your mind/views.
Good luck with your assignment!
