Explanation / Answer

The main challenge Pepsi faced while having their Pepsi Refresh Challenge was to know about what the consumers would show an interest in which was non-profit and a way to get into this. The company wanted to ensure that public participate and would show their interest or an issue that they would address. The challenge was to find a way to give charity that the then customers would actually care about. The Company didn't if it was a good before implementing the case, the company was also unaware about how the public would respond,will the millenials show any interest to select on a social noble and charitable cause.

First solution:Survey

The company could have easily provide a solution to this using surveys which were taken beforehand implementing the refresh challenge. They could have roped in social activists to know about various aspects of charitable giveaways. They could have aslo used Delphi and Jury method normally, but this was one of a kind reformation that was happening at that time.The best way to get the response was to ask the consumers of Pepsi themselves.They would actually give their individual opinion and collectively, it could be taken to conclude in whether they have to move forward with the project or vice versa.

Second Solution: Brand ambassadors/celebrities.

The company actually did this while doing the refresh challenge. It was done to get the attention of the public and also to make them aware that their favourite celebs are also joining hands for this good cause which will in turn encourage the public to do the same. The Company was able to get to a large number of public using this technique of bringing in celebrities, both from cinema and sports and showed the public that these stars was pitching in with Pespsi to give charity.
