True. There have been a strong evidence that eukaryotic cell wasevolved by the fusion of prokaryotic cell such a s mitochondria andchloroplast. Since cyanobacteria is a prokcaryotkc cell there couldbeen a prokaryotic cell before cyanobacteria that had function ofphotosynthesis.

Photosynthesis evolved before the Cyanobacteria is probably true,however it depends on which previous organism was capable ofperforming it. Many cells independently developed Photosynthesis toallow for the sun to energy conversions. In other words, it's True,but you explanation was a bit off. Other cells were capable ofphotosynthesis other than Cyanobacteria before the adaptation ofchloroplasts to eukaryotic cells,
