Explanation / Answer
Consideration is one of the most crucial factors for the success of a leader. It includes the extent up to which a leader exhibits concern for the welfare of the members of the group. It includes the relationship behaviors like trust, friendship and respect.
For instance, for a crucial project our manager required one person from my team. Despite of my knowledge and understanding of the project, I did not have any actual experience for it. Even though, my supervisor recommended my name from the team, although he himself could take the opportunity. Furthermore, he had also guided me in the project whenever required. It helped to develop better trust, understanding and coordination between us.
As per the studies at Ohio University, effective leaders can take the following actions to provide emotional support to the team members:
The leader should strike a balance between getting the job done as well as maintain a high degree of morale and well-being in the group.
