Question

In a letter format, how should this be written?

Like all other states Kentucky works hard to attract businesses that are considering expanding into the state or reloading entirely from another state. The Kentucky cabinet for Economic development is responsible for reaching out to these companies and overseeing the many incentive programs the state offers to the new and established business.

Your task: As the communication director of the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development, you play the lead role in reaching out to companies that want to expand or relocate to Kentucky. Visithttp://www.thinkkentucky.com and download the Think Kentucky brochure (look under the "Why Kentucky" link). Identify the eight benefits the state uses to promote Kentucky as a great place to locate a business. Summarize these eight reasons in a form letter that will be sent to business executives throughout the country. Be sure to introduce yourself and your purpose in the letter, and close with a compelling call to action (have them reach you by telephone at 800-626-2930 or by e-mail at econdev@ky.gov). As you plan your letter, try to imagine yourself as the CEO of a company and consider what a complex choice it would be to move to another state.
