please edit for grammar, tenses and typos. thanks!
I am currently a Masters of Health Informatics Student, at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, in search of a fulltime or term-limited position. I have a keen interest in the Senior User Experience Analyst position because I firmly believe many of the criteria’s in the job listing are aligned to my interest and passions as reflected by my past schoolwork and previous work experiences.
Coming from an Informatics background from both my undergraduate and graduate degrees, I have developed a strong interest in analyzing various information for various organizations and businesses. In past coursework and jobs, I have done many projects on analyzing information. An example where I learned a lot on doing this was this past winter me and a team of four others worked on a project with a healthcare consulting company called Afia. We tried to investigate how the employees take notes and do interviews when they are helping other healthcare organizations consult, and we try to investigate the information workflow, find pitfalls in their system and way of doing things, and give recommendations to them, through Microsoft PowerPoint, on what could be more optimal ways to tackle the problems. This was done through the process of contextual inquiry. I thought the experience was both enriching as well as enjoyable. In addition to possessing the capability to analyze information for organizations through contextual inquiry, I also possess great interest in other user experience related work such as prototyping and wireframing. Being able to design something that allows others to use and appreciate has always been one of my life goals and that is why I am interested in user experience design.
Finally, as a person, I am highly organized, detail-oriented, reliable, always try to get a head start on things, very open-minded, willing to learn new things and get advice from others, and have many team working experiences as highlighted on my resume. I believe having the traits I listed allowed me to enjoy working on team projects throughout my undergraduate and graduate careers that are highlighted on my resume. This shows I can work in a team setting.
