Question

using health care please answer the 2 question, I was a care giver

1. Select one task that you are currently or were previously responsible for performing. Isolate the type of metric measurement used to evaluate the task process to determine if the process was being followed correctly.

2. Address how frequently the process was evaluated and whether the feedback provided contributed toward or detracts from successful outcome(s) for that process. If no performance measurement is used, identify a set of measurements to evaluate the task and discuss how and why that measurement would ensure successful task completion.

Explanation / Answer

Answer 1:

I was the nurse and I was in charge of the patients and my duties would be in shifts. The metric system measured if we did our duty properly or not. The metric system followed was on the basis of efficiency which is a bit difficult to quantify. However, certain aspects like time, patient feedback were used to ascertain efficiency of the task process.

Answer 2:

To check how efficiently we were performing our reviews were done every week. Log charts were checked if we were keeping to the time or not. Patient complaint books were checked to see if the care giver was available when he was required or not. Patients were asked if they were being taken care of or not. If they were comfortable or not. If they were comfortable then it was fine but if they were not, then the reason was asked. If the reason for their discomfort was the care giver, then they were taken to task. However, just by reprimanding the care giver will not solve the problem; they need to be explained and trained so that they can carry out their tasks properly.

When feedback was given properly the serious care givers would incorporate these in to their practice so that they would get better at their jobs.
