Ans 1.

Due to self-serving bias people have tendency to attribute positive outcome to their own efforts or characteristics but attribute negative events to external factors and events. Same way in actor-observer bias people tend to attribute one's own actions to external causes, while attributing other people's behaviours to internal causes. Therefore this would cause problem for leaders during performance review if an employee is not able to accept his/her limitation due to biases.

In notion of authentic leadership approach to leadership the leader emphasizes on building his legitimacy through honest relationships based on trusts and mutual understanding with followers. Authentic leaders value the input of followers and they build relationships with followers on an ethical foundation. Generally, authentic leaders have characteristics like cheerful, optimistic & positive in every situation, ethical, truthful, etc. A leader can build trust, promote ethics, and create positive working environment to improve his authenticity.

Ans 3

When some members of a group are isolated and discriminated against it will adversely affect employees as well as organization productivity. It stimulate negative emotions like anger, aggression, frustration and depression which can cause physical or mental distress or illness. Therefore managers should stop work place discrimination at any cost. Manager can put strict policies and guidelines against discrimination and should create an amiable environment though different group building activities.
