Management in a organization and business is a function that coordinates the effort of people to achieve the defined goals and objectives using the available resources. The for main function of a management is :
1. Planning : Planning involve decision where to take a company and selecting steps to reach there. it require managers to be known of challenges and forecast future business and economic conditions. They achieve their targets with a deadline and review steps if necessary.
2. Organizing : Organizing different physical, human and financial resources to work together to achieve one specific goal and objective.They classify activities, assigning to group of peoples and create responsibility.
3. Leading : Leading require to motivate and supervise the employees. Managers are able to view the problem and opportunity from their view. They can track the work and do changes ti achieve the set goals and objectives.
4. Controlling : It is function that involves measuring achievement against establish goals and objectives. Managers needs to provide correct course of action in achieving targets.
Major challenges faced by the companies :
Master data management : In today era, all data is store centrally through enterprise resource planning. It is difficult for the organization to select which data is seen by which person, what data is access by a department and how much data is searchable, stored and managed so that any one can access it.
Supply chain management : With increase in outsourcing, raw material management and finished goods can now extend thousand of miles and language barriers. It is challenge for managers to maintain day to day operation in supply chain.
