Question
What is researchable about my proposal statement?
Proposal Statement:
Business school teaches a lot of theory, while network marketing introduces one to the real world situation practicality. Please provide some flesh to the three (3) bullet points.
Comment from my Prof: (need help in finding what to research exactly)
This looks good - do me a favor and let me know exactly what you will be researching. I tend to agree with your statement, but am not sure what it is you will do in the paper.
A problem statement is a brief piece of writing that usually comes at the beginning of a report or proposal to explain the problem or issue the document is addressing to the reader. In general, a problem statement will;
outline the basic facts of the problem
explain why the problem matters
pinpoint a solution as quickly and directly as possible
Problem statements are often used in the world of business for planning purposes but can also be required in academic situations as part of a proposal-style report or writing project.

Explanation / Answer
The statement that " Business school teaches a lot of theory, while network marketing introduces one to the real world situation practicality." is very much acceptable. Then, what? Every moment you spend outside your classroom and business school puts you through the real world situation practicality. The real world situation practicality is very much true with respect to your learning in the Business school as well.
With respect to the first bullet point- OUTLINE THE BASIC FACTS OF THE PROBLEM
Everyone looks the situation from his/her perspective and most of the time, the so called basic facts of the problem are either not collected or not focused and or so voluminous that you failed to understand and or comprehend.
In the real life we say that half of the job is done the moment you identify the true problem. This is very much linked to the second bullet WHY THE PROBLEM MATTERS. This is the stage where one tries to identify the very purpose, goal, and or objective to be achieved by solving so called the problem and or to exploit the opportunity. Very often it is said that a problem for someone is an opportunity for someone else. Half-glass full or half-glass empty referring to the same fact but from different perspectives.
Thus the first two bullets are important for identification and definition of the problem and or opportunity. In case you fail to have the facts and figures in the right perspectives, your future course of action and or efforts may or may not lead you in the direction that you wish to follow because there is so called an environment which is not within your control.
The third bullet- PINPOINT A SOLUTION AS QUICKLY AND DIRECTLY AS POSSIBLE. We are living in the competitive world, if you do not act in time , someone else will take the lead and you will be left behind in ths mad race of survival and growth. During the last few decades it is the speed that matters the most for growth because of the severe competition is happening in each & every sphere of life at every nook and corner places of the world.
Automation, digitalization, computerization, internet, social media and advanced technology developments etc are forcing you to act fast (at times may not be with the right choice) and directly in response to the situation/s.
People say that justice delayed is as good as justice denied.
