A federal office has a backlog of cases, and to meet its deadlines, it is decided that the office will be open seven days a week, eight hours a day. One of the employees, Marjorie Tollens, refuses to work on Saturday on religious grounds. Her refusal to work means that the office may not meet its deadlines and may therefore suffer some additional issues. The office fires Tollens and replaces her with an employee who is willing to work seven days a week. Tollens claims that her employer, in terminating her employment, violated her constitutional right to the free exercise of her religion.
Has Tollens' employer violated her constitutional right to the free exercise of her religion? If so, how has her right been violated? If not, why wasn't her right violated? Whether you think Tollens' right was violated or not, what support do you have for your position?

I do not agree with the above comments. First, I want to say to the interaction of an employee and the company. An employee needs a stable job, high salary and vice versa Companies also need a good staff and responsible. Tollens is the absolute religion should not be working on Saturday, but Tollens must also understand that the company is required to do on Saturday. If Tollens has signed a contract with the company initially did not work with in terms of religion, Tollens can sue the company based on the contract. But in case Tollens did not sign any contract with company and only work on company own convention, Tollens absolute do not have any chance to sue the company.
For some people, religion is a very important and has great influence in the family and their lives. If I was Tollens:
1. I would say clearly the reason why I can not work on Saturday, and his colleagues are trying to ask leave to go to work instead. And will work overtime on weekdays.
2. In case the company resolutely refused an offer to work in my case 1, then forced me to accept work on Saturday. The condition is if I go to work this Saturday, then next Saturday I must be off.
I'm not a religious person, but the case I mentioned that I was neutral between religion and work. There are benefits for both parties.
