Explanation / Answer

Disease – Ebola

Ebola outbreak in Western Africa was caused due to wild animals. The outbreak was from December 2013 to January 2016 with 28657 cases and 11325 deaths reported.

The Governments of Nigeria, Zimbabwe and other Sub-Saharan countries were involved in handling the outbreak.

The Government opened up many facility centers where the disease were treated and successfully eradicated. Government also helped in educating and spreading awareness of the symptoms of the disease among the people.

At first, it had an outburst as no one knew about the cure or the symptoms of the disease, however, gradually it came under control.

The World Health Organization financed it with several other African countries coming to the aid of the affected countries.

As discussed above gradually it came under control with proper medications and early detection.

It could not have been handled differently as it was a sudden outburst that no one knew about.
