The Chief Executive Officer is using the external resource approach to evaluate the effectiveness of the organization. This approach is built on the assumption that organization is succesfull when it can win scare resources from other organizations in order to continuing their operations, without them is impossible to be successful.
The marketing Vice-President is expressing an internal approach to measure the effectiveness of the company, because his focus is customers satisfaction, reducing the time of deliver products to the clients, he has a good point, because the sustaintability of the organization is provided by the customers too, obtainig their confidence, which is part of the organizational mission, we are being more effective.
Finally, the manufacturing vice-president is talking about a technical approach of effectiveness, because reducing cost is a way to be authentically efficient, and a manner to be capable to offer a lower price to the customer and to compete in better position than which currently they have.
