Labour Union and collective bargaining

When all is said in done, it is seen that unions and aggregate haggling are the great approaches to ensure the enthusiasm of the workers. So union and aggregate bartering are viewed as useful for the representatives and awful for the administration.

So union and collective bargaining are considered good for the employees and bad for the management. But in actually, sometimes it creates the situation of agitation and strikes and it creates the problem for both employees and management and neither party were not able to come at any solution. The disadvantages of labour union and collective bargaining for both – employees and management are following -

Disadvantages of labour union and collective bargaining to employees –it charges the initiation fees also and spoils the good relationship with the supervisors and management. It loses the autonomy of the workers. They have to agree on the decision taken by union irrespective of their wishes.

Disadvantages of labour union and collective bargaining to employer –it reduces freedom on the part of the employer and creates the complexity in hiring and firing the employees. There is always a pressure of job slowdown and strikes in case of unfavourable conditions.

Outsourcing and third world labour market

Outsourcing means when a company signs a contract with other firm or an individual to get some of its work done. It helps the companies to hire the cheap labour and get the things done and on time without taking much pain and hire the people on full time or part time basis. There is no doubt that outsourcing and third world labour market provide cheap labour and good quality work at low cost. But sometimes we can notice that outsourcing and third world labour market enter into the mix when it comes to unionisation and collective bargaining because it results in driving various issues. Both parties start to compete with each other and it results in exploitation and stress. The resent economic downturn impacted in very negative ways of these issues because it results in losing the jobs of the labour class and makes their life very pathetic. But it starts when outsourcing and third world labour start to give competition to each other.
