Using one of the ethics theories outlined in the chapter - describe a solution to the problem of child labor.

For example - a Kantian response to child labor would be what?

Look at this through the eyes of US based MNC where the US has child labor laws, but the many countries they work with do not. What can/should they do and why? Explain how an ethical theory would inform this perspective.

Explanation / Answer

1) Kantian response always respect the traditions and religious belief, they believed moral principles of individual so this theory accepted the child labor, children who born under poverty family they had urge to go for job to running their families. This theory also stated children helping their family is moral prinicple it also developing the responsibility starting from childhood age. If the same children grown as youth, responsibility also developed towards society.

American and other developed countries never support at the same time they never shown interest to hire child employees or not given outsourcing those countries who hired a child labor.

Still now Most of Asian countries showing interest to hire child labor for low pay and get high work from them. Asian countries who hired child labor it is considered to be a ethical, those who are not hired then only it is considered as unetthical. Ethics will be differ from country to country.
