Think about two managers you may have had, the best and the worst. These could be anyone in the authority figure role. Discuss with your classmates one thing that the best manager did, and one thing that the worst manager did. What was the main difference between the two? Which of the 3 broad managerial skills did the worst manager lack and what managerial skills did the best manager have?

Every manager has different skills which they demonstrate in the organization. The name of the best manager is ABC and worst manager is XYZ. The best manager may take good or wrong decision where as worst managers take bad decision. Managers are human and they make mistake that constitutes wrong decision. On the other hand, a bad manager take decision from weak ethical standpoint, incompetence or ignorance are the bad decision makers. Decisions with good intentions with ethical standpoint and knowledge can turn out to be wrong because it is a simple fact of life. Bad managers lose sight of vision ended up taking bad decision. The wrong decision is due to being inflexible, greedy, biased, discriminatory, etc. at work place.
The best manager has the following skills which lack in bad managers
1. A good manager has a vision and focusing on one goal at a time.
2. Good managers are skillful in handling difficult task and taking opinions from their team members before making decision. He is flexible, ethical, take ownership of work, effective decision making process, etc. while working on any given project.
3. The good managers do thorough research on the project, taking pros and cons into consideration before making the decision.
