What is the obvious mistake made in the question posted below?
What is wrong? You are challenged by Dr. Dorsam about a newly discovered surface protein on a T cell called lmmunologyclassisalmostdone, or (ICAD). Dr. Dorsam gives you the following table of data he collected from performing a T cell activation experiment in a petri dish. To this petri dish, he added: 1. A mouse T cell hybridoma specific for a 45 amino acid peptide that is part of the protein called lloveimmunology, (ILIM) 2. Mouse dendritic cells (expressing B7-1 and B7-2) 3. The ILIM peptide 4. Media to keep the cells alive 5. One of five monoclonal antibodies or a polyclonal of all five (See table) He then tells you ICAD has amino acid sequence similarity to molecules that bind CD8OICD86. Lastly, these mice were CD28 knock outs.Explanation / Answer
Mice cannot be CD 28 knock out , if they were they would not be able to interact with B71 or B72 .
