Some of have mentioned the "non-verbal" aspect of communication (images, body language, settings, etc. - See p. 487 in your text for a discussion) in today's electronic communication world. Because research has shown that those nonverbal cues can account for such a high percentage of the content of a message, would that not suggest that traditional classroom college classes are better learning environments than online classes? The latter, except for the occasional emoticon, are essentially devoid of the nonverbal component. And, how about people working in the virtual organizations we discussed a couple of weeks ago....They have little or no physical face-to-face interaction....Are those organizations therefore less effective?

Traditional classroom classes are definitely better than the online classes. Eye contact is very important for increased concentration. This depends on the age of the group that listens to a particular lecture. For instance people who work in an organization and want to enhance their skills further would opt for virtual learning programmes as they would offer them more flexibility, Whereas for kids and younger children online classes will not work as they tend to get distracted often. For them class room classes are the best.

Organizationa are more effective when they are remote because the employees will have a clarity on what they should do. They don't need a supervisor or a manager to continously monitor them. Hence either virtual or direct offices are both equally efficient. Virtual offices are increasing due to increase in globalization and the increase of multi-national companies, They are equally performing like traditional organizations.
