Job analysis is used to identify the requirements of a job as well as duties associated with the job. An adequate study of job analysis decides and working criteria, level of risk, safety requirements and accountability. It helps not only the company to provide adequate condition to perform a job, but also, it gives employees to better understand the demand of the job before taking the job.

Here, mutual agreement between employer and employee helps in preventing legal disputes related to labor laws, safety conditions, remedy related to, non performance of the employee as well as discrimination issues.

Besides, the adequate job analysis will give a fair idea of the toughness of the job and the firm will identify suitable candidates who could perform the job with due care. Thus, it also prevents the occurrence of legal problems.

Without doing a proper job analysis, a possibility of selecting a wrong candidate is high. It will create a non performance of duties from the employee side. It can lead to actions such as termination of job or moving the employee to low paying jobs. In this scenario, the employee can retaliate in the form of legal action as per the labor laws.
