You own your own busin ess, the XYZ Corporation, and the following happens: An employee, A , comes back to the corporate business after closing hours and climbs through a partially opened window and takes some money from a desk drawer; another employee, B , has been drinking exce ssively and he threatens that unless you give him a $100.00 a week raise next month, he will burn down the corporate business building; another employee, C , stalks a fellow employee and shoots him to death; another employee, D , carelessly throws a cigarett e and it causes a fire in the corporate building; another employee, E , during his lunch hour, places a set of tools in his lunchbox and takes them home to keep for his own uses; another employee, F , pulls a knife on a customer and demands “your money or yo ur life.” Because of the desperate state you ( G ) find yourself in, you offer $25,000.00 to a local zoning officer in order to have him vote favorably on your request to have the corporate business location rezoned to an industrial use, a move which would make your property very valuable. Therefore crime committed by the employee is unauthorized access and theft. The employee B is holding the owner to ransom to fulfill his demand. Crime committed by the employee is consumption of alcohol at workplace, ransom and threat to cause damage to the property under the influence of alcohol. Employee C stalks a fellow employee and shoots him to death. Crime committed by the employee is Stalking and murder. Employee D is guilty causing fire and damaging the property by negligence. Employee E places a set of tools in his lunchbox and takes them home to keep for his own uses. Crime committed by the employee is stealing company property. Employee F pulls a knife on a customer and demands “your money or your life.” Crime committed by the employee is kidnapping, ransom and causing threat to life.
