A test is conducted to compare three different income tax software packages to determine whether there is any difference in the average time it takes to prepare income tax returns using the three different software packages. Ten different persons' income tax returns are done by each of the three software packages and the time is recorded for each. The computer results are shown below.

As you can see, the rignht answer is number 3 but my question is why number 3, why it is not number 4. because we would still reject the H if we choose number 4. why colums, why its not Raws. please explain and please tell me what would be the question if we would assume the answer is 4.

option 3 and option 4 both are correct since the criteria for selection is that the calculated value should be less than the tabulated value and in both the options the clucated value is less than tabulated value. But option 3 is selected because the lower the value it is higher level of success hence option 3 instead of option 4
