Ans1. As mentioned that Verizon is protecting and improving the society with the help of telecommunication network but that will count as a part of business for the verizon. It is not soley done for the society rather it has been done to make profits. It is helping society also by having a telecommunication but that will not count as a work done by Verizon for the welfare of the society. hence it is the responsibility of Verizon to protect its society while educating can't be a compulosry activity. Every oganization has a mandate to incorporate corporate social responsibilty but that does not mean that it has to be in the field of education only.

The word protection is very wide it can be related to protection of various things ranging from employee welfare within the organization to the protection of citizen which could even mean safety measures at the roadside where the telecom pole are being installed. Also, it would be difficult for the organization to educate the large chunk of the society and to take the responsibility from primary level to the end level.
