Accordingly, he proposes that couples who want a girl should have sex two or more days before ovulation. The soning is that when the egg finally arrives, there's an increased chance that the female sperm will be around to fertilize it. only Additionally, because X sperm are more resilient than Y sperm, Shettles rec ommends that couples use the missionary position to keep sperm further awa from the cervix. He also suggests that women avoid having an orgasm, as it in creases the alkaline secretions that tend to favour Y sperm. (Sorry ladies.) Couples the world-over have tried the Shettles Method and countless other techniques to exert at least some control over the sex of their offspring. And fo as long as women have been making babies, they have been exchanging idea about how to conceive a boy or a girl. Shettles claims that his technique tips the odds of any one gender from 50 to 75%. Using the technique, my friends did in fact conceive a girl, and were absolutely delighted. Explanation / Answer

According to George Dvorsky, sex selection is ethical. His views are based on the analysis of the scientific and technological information that he has provided in the editorial production of Betterhumans, in which George Dvorsky is deputy editor. George Dvorsky elaborates that people who want to conceive a baby of a particular gender improve their chances with the help of the Shettles Method. The Shettles Method, suggests the timing and position of the intercourse that can be used to ensure the desired gender of the child. Shettles claim that the method is successful in determining the odds of the gender to the extent of 50 – 75%. Even though the method has been rejected by many experts, Dvorsky claims that his friend was successful in conceiving a girl child as desired by using the Shettles Method.

There are several fertility clinics that have sophisticated technologies that increase the chances of clinical gender selection. Techniques such as Albemin or Micro sperm separation method increases the chances of definitive gender selection for the couples who want a child of a definitive gender. Even though there are sure techniques of determining the sex of the child, sex determination is illegal in countries such as Canada. George Dvorsky thinks that considering sex determination as a criminal offence is a stubborn and ignorant response to a natural procedure.

George Dvorsky also elaborates that the arguments that oppose gender-selection of the child are absurd. He also discards the view of James Grifo, the president – elect of the society of Assisted Reproductive Technology and a reproductive endocrinologist who support the claim that gender selection is unethical on grounds such as it will lead to a sex ratio imbalance in the future and that it will be unethical to take away the right to be born from a child. To this view, George Dvorsky suggests that sex ratio imbalance is a no good argument as the couple who tend to go for sex determination for a child want to keep a balance in the family as a boy and a girl. He also argues that only a very small population of people will use sex determination.

George Dvorsky also suggests that gender determination will not lead the society to collapse rather, it will help in keeping the balance. The gender determination will also lead to a perfect match of the parent and the child for a family. George further suggests that gender selection is a step forward in the future. Parents that are open to choose the gender of the child today will someday also want to choose the cognitive and physical of the child and this will be a step in the future.

Dvorsky, claims that for a state such as Canada that stood for a cause such as homosexuality, considering gender selection as illegal is wrong. While announcing the liberal policy towards homosexuality the government said that government has nothing to do with what goes in the bedrooms of the citizen then how can such a state adopt a negligent attitude towards a cause such as Gender Selection.
