In addition, I would like to share with you the "Single-Employer Bargaining With Coalition Bargaining." This bargaining structure is closest to the pattern bargaining that unions would like to see. However, with fully 30 members in the association and substantial diversity in size and scope of operations, the step would be quite a leap. The single-employer focus would permit unions to select a ”target” firm without having to take all the membership out on strike, and a well-chosen target firm might help win similar agreements with the next firm in sequence. The only thing that this arrangement denies that would be available to the unions under industry wide bargaining with coalition partners is that this structure probably would not drive mergers and shakeouts as well. It would be harder for a marginal firm not to meet the industry wide wage package under the former structure than it would under this one; the separate negotiations leave room for a little more negotiating autonomy. That prospect, however, has its upside as well as its downside: while wage increases might be easier to come by in industry wide bargaining, members are less likely to be displaced from jobs in large numbers under a structure that entails bargaining with individual employers ( Fossum, 2015).

To begin with, it is important to state that Win-Win strategy is one that is in favor of all the stakeholders concerned with the strategy. In the present case, there are mainly two or say three parties, namely Union, Employee and Employer. Exercise of bargaining between the Union and individual Employer/ firm may result in favor of Employer as against the deal between the Unions and Industry wide bargaining with so called coalition partners. Single-Employer bargaining may attend to the specific demands and requirements of the employees and employer apart from the industry level wage rates and productivity linked bonus etc. Therefore as per my understanding, this may work as a Win-Win strategy for the employees and employers.
