According to my understanding, the following situation doesn't seem correct about the relationship between satisfaction and performance and that is:-

Managers should consider satisfaction and performance to be two completely independent work results.

Why have I mentioned the above statement as incorrect is becasue of the fact that both satisfaction and performance are dependent on each other and are not independent etities at all. If you perform well, your satsifaction will be hight. If you are satisfied, your performance will be good.

In that case, terming satisfaction and performace as two completely independent work results is not a correct statement at all.
