Human resource managements are an important subject to study, because today, it is the most important department of any organization. Human resource management is the comprehensive set of managerial activities and tasks concerned with developing and maintaining a qualified workforce human skills and talents to make sure they are used effectively and in alignment with an organization’s goals. Every organization is concerned with offering competitive salaries and benefits to attract, motivate, and retain talented people.
Explanation / Answer
To build a good team of professionals in an organization it is important to have a good Human Resources. There are few keys roles and functions which are being carried on under the HR division that includes performance management, performance appraisals, recruitment, training and development, etc.
Recruitment:
This counts as one of the key responsibilities of the HR Department. It is this department which decides on the strategies to attract and hire the people. In this people are being hired considering the job requirement and the skills that that are of key importance. There are other things related to recruitment like task which is related to the job, scope and nature of work, etc.
Training:
Training is one factor which plays role either before onboarding the employee or even during the employ tenure of an employee. It has to be planned on the basis of the objective and outcome that needs to be derived out of the training program based on the requirement within the organization.
Performance appraisals:
In this process the organization recognize the employee’s hard work and their achievements and simultaneously help them to realize the areas of improvement. In this team will coordinate and communicate with the employees on the regular and timely intervals about their performance and potential. This step also sets the goals for the employees i.e. what is being expected from them which helps the employees to set the outline about what has been expected out of them and what they have to do to achieve their targets.
Healthy work environment:
Performance and hygiene factors play a key role in driving good performance out of employees. A healthy work environment is one of the element which employees expect from the organization to help them to enhance their efficiency.
Maintain Public relations and resolving disputes:
For an organization to maintain good relation with the external as well as the internal stakeholders, HR plays a key role to an extent to maintain good relation. They are the ones who would be responsible for organizing meetings, seminars, campus visits, etc. they also play important role in making and deciding the business plans.
In an organization there can be disputes between various employees/team and it can be over a minor to a major issue to resolve such issues HR plays important role. They have to practice the laws which are being mentioned in the employees/lab laws
