The growth rate in the United States is low relative to many other countries. Read the pamphlet “World Population: More Than Just Numbers” and visit the website, “U.S. Census Bureau: International Data Base (IDB)”. Once in the IDB, select (one at a time) China, Mexico, and the United States (specifying the years as 1950, 2009, and 2050) and compare the shapes of the graphs for these countries, and how the shapes are projected to change in the future.
Choose one of the graphs (at the IDB population pyramid site – make sure to indicate the graph chosen). Explain what the shapes of that population pyramid tell about the population. Answer in one paragraph, less than 250 words.
Based on your readings, would you expect a program to increase the education of women within the population to lead to changes in the shape of the population pyramid? Explain your answer. What if there was an increase in the education of men? Answer in two paragraphs, less than 500 words.

The graph which I have chose to consider is the Mexican IDB population graph . Based on this accumulative data, although the population is increasing,about (13K/10 year cycle), the growth rate is declining at a rate of 1/6 th % based on the same cycle. This is due to both a decrease in the infant mortality rates , birth rates, and fertility . linked with a slight but steady increase in the expectancy levels of life, the projections reveal a stable widening pyramid. As it concern to education and how it can affect the populous, I believe either females or males with no education have large families of children, on the other hand better educated individuals have family sizes consisting of lesser children. There probably is, in what we consider less & more civilized cultures, a vast differential in actual fertility, yet the increased family size is homogeneous throughout the spectrum of education.
While the less educated and the more educated women can the small or big family norm, the gap in contraceptive and career prevalence between the 2 groups is the difference in the 2 points. good education means higher socio-economic status , vast knowledge & less fatalistic attitudes toward reproduction than do less education.
Some strategies that would be most effective in controlling population growth in undeveloped countries would all entail dealing with enforcing the vital statistics. The two primary focus points would have to be economic status and education. The development of such potential would be a good starting emphasis area. women having less education can affect the number of children she has. The husband tells the woman how many children she can have if she has little to no education. Also a good balance of moral ethics and culture that can have a vast impact on the population.
