M1 = 8 M = 8 mol/L

V1 = ?

Given we have to make second solution of 4.8 M and third solution 1.5 M and 100 ml

M3 = 1.5 M = 1.5 mol/L

V3 = 100 ml = 0.1 L

M1 * V1 = M3 * V3

8 mol/L * V1 = 1.5 mol/L * 0.1 L

V1 = 0.01875 L = 18.75 ml

V2 * M2 = V1 * M1

V2 * 4.8 mol/L = 0.01875 L * 8 mol/L

V2 = 0.03125 L = 31.25 L

First solution 18.75 ml and 8 M

second solution 31.25 ml and 4.8 M

Third solution 100 ml and 1.5 M

Procedure:

so we have to take 18.75 ml of stock solution using 10 ml graduated cylinder and pour it in 100 ml graduated cylinder

or we can take 18.75 ml of stock solution directly in 100 ml of graduated cylinder and keep it in a seperate beaker

this will be first solution

seccond solution

you follow the same procedure by taking 18.75 ml of stock solution in 100 ml of graduated cylinder

then add distilled water in cylinder upto the mark reaches 31.25 ml

seccond solution is ready pour it in beaker

third solution

take 18.75 ml of stock solution in 100 ml graduated cylinder

add water upto 100 ml mark and your third solution is ready

pour it in seperate beaker

so now your solution of different molarities are ready in different beakers
