3) Acetaminophen is soluble in Sodium hydroxide. So to remove any unreacted Acetaminophen we are using 1M sodium hydroxide.
4) Potassium carbonate is used to give basic condtion to the reaction. Alternate for Potassium carbonate are Sodium bycarbonate and Sodium carbonate.
