Explanation / Answer

In many national parks and other areas of natural beauty, statements are often made that credit wind as having sculpted the landscape. Briefly discuss the importance of wind as an agent of erosion and explain why such statements are probably inaccurate. Wind is not nearly as powerful as the other agents of erosion. I wouldn't say the statements are wholly inaccurate. There are formations called ventifacts that are indeed wind formed.
Wind can hold the particles of some sand, silt and clay when blows. The major resultant erosional landscapes of wind are the sand dunes. It can be a fact that wind has eroded a surface and left the scars of erosion on the landscapes thats y such statements are made but its not true always. since the landscapes covered with vegetation cant be eroded by wind or if eroded earlier than it cant be varified.
