Biostastics should be chosen over statistics for biomedical research because of the following two reasons:

1. Based on available data from research a biostatistician with the knowledge of bio along with statistics has the ability to choose the right statistical test to be performed by the computer to obtain correct results.

2. A biostatistician due to his skills is able to understand clearly if the analysis and interpretation of work was done correctly or not.

The objective of the study is to successfully assess the link between consumption of alcohol and cancer occurrence.
