(24):- As per the Mendel's lawsof Independent assortment:-

The self cross between RRyy and rrYY give rise the result in the ratio of 9:3:3:1.

thus out of these four combinations, the right answer is (b), because only these combination follows the ratio of Independent assortment.

(25) :- Since the value of chi square can be calculated as :-

= (observed value - expected value)^2 / expected value of the crosses.

By putting the values of observed and expected values of the crosses, we get the ratio 0.533, which is close to the 0.544 i.e. 49/90.

Thus the right answer is 49/90.
