Ans. in CO2, mass fraction of carbon = 12/(12+32) = 0.273

so in 1.471 gm CO2, mass of carbon = 1.471*0.273 = 0.4014 gm

in H2O, mass fraction of hydrogen = 2/18 = 0.111

so in 0.226 gm H2O, mass of hydrogen = 0.226*0.111 = 0.0253 gm

So option (a) is correct.
