Since both the volumes are calculated at same tempearture and pressure conditions, so number of moles is directly proportional to the volume.

So, moles of SO2 are greater than that of O2 by a factor of (271.7/156.9) = 1.73 times

Since according to reaction stoichiometry, O2 requires double amount of SO2, so SO2 is the limiting reagent.

Since 2 moles of SO2 give 2 moles of SO3, and since moles are proportional to volume, so 271.7 mL SO3 will be produced.
