Explanation / Answer

In order to prepare 250 mL of the solution we use 250.0 mL standard flask(C)

So Flask C is correct.

Measure out x g of solid sucrose on a balance

Number of moles of sucrose , n = Molarity x volume in L

= 0.600 M x 250 mL x ( 10-3 L/mL)

= 0.15 moles

Molar mass of sucrose (C12H22O11) is = ( 12*12)+(22*1)+(11*16) = 342 g /mol

So mass of sucrose , x = number of moles x molar mass

= 0.15 mol x 342 (g/mol)

= 51.3 g

Mix a small amount of water with the solute to dissolve it , then fill with water to the 50 mL mark
