As the question is all about calculation of mole of the product. so lets understood how to calculate mole.

it is the basic unit for the amount of substance means it defines the amount of substance contains how many particles (atoms, molecules, ions, electron)

Mole could be calculated as Mole =(Weight / Molecular Weight )

The weight of the Aacitic acid is missing it should be provided for calculation of mole of acetic acid.

Now weight isoamyl alcohol = 6.4 g

Molecular weight of isoamyl alcohol = 5C = 5*12=60)

1O= 1*16=16

12H=12*1=12

total molecular weight= 88

so moles of isoamyl alcohol = (6.4/88) = 0.072 M

wight of the ester obtained = 14.13 g

molecular weight of ester = (6C+2O+14H)=(72+32+14)=118

moles of ester = (14.13/118)= 0.12 M

as the reaction is happenign with similar amount so, 0.07 M of isoamyl alcohol should react with 0.07 M of acetic acid to form 0.07 M of ester.

now 0.07 M of acetic. so weight of acetic acid = mole of acetic acid * moelcular weight of acetic acid

= 0.07*60

= 4.2 g

now for calcualtion of percent yield,

product should form = (0.07 M = 0.07*118) = 8.26 g

product formed =0.12 M =14.16 g

so percent yield = (actual yield/ theoritical yield)* 100 %

= (14.16/8.2)* 100
