Ans 5 :

5.0% of 15 mL has 95% of water i.e. (95 x 15) / 100 = 14.25 mL and 15-14.25 = 0.75 mL of solute

3.5% of solution = (0.75 / V ) x 100

V = 21.43 mL

So the amount of water to be added = 21.43-14.25

= 7.18 mL

So the water to be added will be approx 6 mL
