Is biofilm good or bad for health? All i see online is that biofilm is bad for plants but here it says its good for plants? I am so confused. Can somebody help this little lost girl what is biofilm and its importance and how it is crucial and or benficial or not beneficial to plant please?

Group of microorganism (mainly bacteria) which assembled together on a surface of either matrix or extracellular polymeric substance is known as biofilms.

Though in general biofilms are harmful, as they can cause various disease such as dental plaque, legionellosis etc. But not all biofilms are harmful as they play an important role in ecology and sustainability of life.

If biofilms is made of Bacillus subtilis then it can be widely used as a biofertilizer. Biofilm formation on plants is also involved with biological control and pathogenic response.
