Question

This question has been posted before, but my teacher decided to add a bit of information to change up the problem. once the fask was brought back to room temperature its pressure read 0.8276 atms, now how do I find the change in the two pressure readings?

An Erlenmeyer flask is filled with air at atmospheric pressure (assume we are at sea level for atmospheric pressure) and room temperature. It is placed in an ice bath. The flask is removed from the ice bath and warmed back to room temperature, Calculate the percent change in the two pressure readings. (3 pts) 3. but the pvessuue nouwcad o.TLe atm

Explanation / Answer

we have relation PV = nRT

since we didnot change flask volume of gas taken is fixed. Since no gas added or removed n is constant

Initial temperature and final temperature is same

Hence P is also constant as n,V, T are constants

Thus percent change = 0 %
