Explanation / Answer
A. Modern humans whose ancestors came from Europe or Asia share up to 4% of their genome with Neanderthals.
The Neanderthals (named after the Neandertal area) were a species of humans in the genus Homo that became extinct between 41,000 and 39,000 years ago. Modern humans are most closely related to them. According to a report published in Science magazine (Green et al., 2010) it was reported that modern humans from Africa and Eurasia shared about 1-4% of their genomes with the Neanderthals.
