Question

Howdy you guys, I've searched for some help on this question, but I can't seem to find it! Help me out if you could! Thanks in advance!

tty acids are carboxylic acids with a long unbranched hydrocarbon chain. There are three main classes or fatty acids. Sort the following fatty acids into saturated, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated categories Note: If one or more acids are incorrectly placed, a single red X will appear on the top left of the Saturated bin. This does not necessarily mean the acids placed in the Saturated bin are wrong, but that there is a mistake somewhere. Saturated Monounsaturated Polyunsaturated stearic acid linoleic acid arachidonic acid palmiti c acid oleic acid

Explanation / Answer

The saturated bin contains sturated monounsaturated and polyunsaturated molecules

stearic acid, palmitic acid and arachidonic acid are saterated atomic number 16,18 and 20

linolenic acid is polyunsaturated atomic number 18

oleic acid is monounsaturated atoic number 18

which ever you have taken sample there atomic number same and near weight also all most equal may be this is the problem i think so
