^human vasopressin
test oberservation
(1) xanthoproteic
(2) Milon's
(3) Hopkin's- Cole
(4) Nitroprusside
Explanation / Answer
when vasopressin undergoes Xanthoproteic reacton it will change to yellow color due to presence of tyrosine in structure
when vasopressin undergoes reaction with milons reagent it will show reddish brown color( should be heated), this is also due to presence of tyrosine in structure
Hopkin's- Cole shows negative as it has no tryptophan in it.
nitroprussade test show positive as this contain cysteine residues.
