Question
You don't have to use Lucidchart.
This is not meant to be a DFD describing a particular business environment, the labels used are intentionally generic. The generic words in the diagram are not rule violations (e.g. entity, data store, etcetera). Note that all of the shapes used (process, entity, data flow, and data store) are considered acceptable and no credit will be given for describing a shape choice in this diagram as a rule violation.
Recreate this DFD in Lucidchart and then use the Text tool in Lucidchart to create a list ofEXACTLY five actual, valid DFD rule violations. Your list should use the empty space on the left side of the diagram's page.
Use the Text tool in Luicdchart to label at least one instance of each of your rule violations, so that your list and the numbers on the diagram are matched to each other. For example, if you observe a problem on the process that is in list position one, then place a number one on the process. Note that Lucidchart includes a bullets and numbering tool to be used for your list of rule violations. Simply placing a rule violation at the top of the list without a number to be matched to its counterpart on the diagram is not sufficient to receive full credit. Do not label the diagram with multiple copies of the same rule violation; only one label on the DFD is acceptable, even if the rule has been violated in multiple locations.
Be sure to use the Lucidchart tool button that looks like rotating arrows as it will reverse the directions of your data flows while making your version of this DFD.
