I believe you get cis/trans isomers. Draw the molecule, then examine the double bond. Would it be more favor to get the cis or transconformation? Remember that steric hindrance is a bad thing. You get thetrans conformer being favored (this is the case in almost all ofthese reactions). The best way to do this is draw the two possible products andthen examine what you've drawn.. ask yourself which one looks moreenergetically favourable
