The dipole moment is given by the equation = fractionof charge x distance of charge separation Also, the charge of an electron is the same in magnitude asthat of a positive charge, so to find the fraction of positivecharge you just need to set up two equations. The first relates thedipole mement of HCL to the given distance and charge fraction tofind the charge.
