Explanation / Answer

The structure for ozone is described by two resonance structures, and the three oxygens will be in an angle not a straightline. One of the bonds between two oxygens will be a singlebond, and the other bond will be a double bond. The centeroxygen will have a positive charge, and the oxygen connected to thecenter oxygen by a single bond will have a negative charge. The other resonance structure will be the mirror image of thestructure previously described. Since the actual structure isa mixture of the two, you can see that the center oxygen will bepartially positive while the other two oxygens will be partiallynegative. This means there is more electron density on thetwo end oxygens than on the center oxygen. If you arefamiliar with drawing Lewis structures, I highly recommend drawingthem for this molecule. It sounds to me like the first oneyou described (A) best shows the electron density with very littleelectron density in the center (blue) and a lot of electron densityon the ends (red). Hope this helps
