Question
Lineweaver- burk plot is 1/V= (KM/Vmax)*1/S +1/Vmax
so a plot of 1/V vs 1/S gives straight line whose slope is KM/Vmax and intercept of 1/Vmax
in case of inhibition, KM will be replaced with Kmapp and Vmax will be replaced with Vmaxapp
so a plot of 1/V vs 1/S along with data points is shown below.
from the plot, the absence of inhibitor, 1/Vmax= intercept = 0.015, Vmax= 1/0.015=66.67 mM/min
KM/Vmax= slope =0.009, Km= 0.009*66.67=0.6 mM
since in the presence of inhibitor also, Vmaxapp= 1/0.015=66.67 mM/min same as that of no inhibitor, this is the case of competitive inhibition where the inhibitor competes with the enzyme for binding to the substrate.

Prostaglandins are a class of eicosanoids, fatty acid derivatives with a variety of extremely potent actions on vertebrate tissues. They are responsible for producing fever and inflammation and its associated pain Prostaglandins are derived from the 20-carbon fatty acid arachidonic acid in a reaction catalyzed by the enzyme prostaglandin endoperoxide synthase. This enzyme, a cyclooxygenase, uses oxygen to convert arachidonic acid to PGG2, the immediate precursor of many different prostaglandins (al The kinetic data given in the table are for the Rate of formation of PGG2 reaction catalyzed by a mutant of prostaglandinArachidonic acid Rate of formation endoperoxide synthase.
