Question
So i'm currently a graduate student in the field of Chemistry, and I'm taking a structures and synthesis of polymers course (very excited for it). The problem is that I learned all of Organic Chemistry using ONLY the IUPAC naming system. We may have used common names 3 times. As I begin my journey through polymers I am noticing that they prefer the common naming system as does my professor. Does anyone have a quick guide to common naming that could get me up to date fairly quick? Even a general list of common names used in polymers that I should familiarize myself with would be very helpful! Thank you.
Explanation / Answer
Answer:
Dear Student find a general list of chemical name and common name of the polymers. This list would be helpful for synthesis of polymers course.
