The reaction can be balanced by atom balance method:
Step 1: Lets first Pb atoms: In both sides (reactant side and product side) one Pb atom is there. SO, we dont need to do anything with lead. Just keep it as it is.
Step 2:
Lets now balance Nitrates (NO3-). In both sides (reactant side and product side) two nitrates are there. SO, we dont need to do anything with nitrate as well. Just keep it as it is.
Step 3: Lets now balance K atoms. There are two K in product side but one K is in reactant side. We can balance K if we multiply KI in the reactant side by 2. We eill get an equation like this:
Pb(NO3)2 + 2 KI = PbI2 + 2 KNO3
In doing so, all the atoms are automatically balanced. Now we have to add phases to each component.
